The Karluk River is located on the southwest end of Kodiak Island in Alaska.
The Karluk River is 35 km (22 mi) long. The upper 23 km (14 mi) of the river are within the Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge. The river provides excellent opportunities for fishing, hunting, hiking, wildlife viewing and other wilderness activities.
