Karl Malden - Other Work

Other Work

Malden famously delivered the line "Don't leave home without them!" in a series of U.S. television commercials for American Express Travelers Cheques in the 1970s and 1980s. He also advertised the American Express Card, with the famous opening line, "Do you know me?"

Malden was a member of the United States Postal Service's 16-member Citizens' Stamp Advisory Committee, which meets to review recommendations for U.S. commemorative postage stamps.

Famous quotes containing the word work:

    In some withdrawn, unpublic mead
Let me sigh upon a reed,
Or in the woods, with leafy din,
    Whisper the still evening in:
Some still work give me to do,—
    Only—be it near to you!
For I’d rather be thy child
And pupil, in the forest wild,
Than be the king of men elsewhere,
And most sovereign slave of care:
To have one moment of thy dawn,
Than share the city’s year forlorn.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

Does Job fear God for nothing? Have you not put a fence around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But stretch out your hand now, and touch all that he has, and he will curse you to your face.”
    Bible: Hebrew, Job 1:9-11.

    Satan to God.
