Early Life
Chancellor was educated at Tonbridge School in Kent, England, where he was the bass player for a school band named Slice of Life and used to perform a cover version of Corey Hart's Sunglasses at Night in the dining room of his boarding house. The band released an eponymously titled tape featuring a song of the same name (Slice of Life). Chancellor went on to study at Durham University.

Famous quotes containing the words early and/or life:
“Early education can only promise to help make the third and fourth and fifth years of life good ones. It cannot insure without fail that any tomorrow will be successful. Nothing fixes a child for life, no matter what happens next. But exciting, pleasing early experiences are seldom sloughed off. They go with the child, on into first grade, on into the childs long life ahead.”
—James L. Hymes, Jr. (20th century)
“Every sign by itself seems dead. What gives it life?In use it is alive. Is life breathed into it there?Or is the use its life?”
—Ludwig Wittgenstein (18891951)
