Jump Wires, commonly used with a breadboard, are used to transfer electrical signals from one part of the breadboard to the central microcontroller. Jump wires vary in size and color to distinguish what object they are working with. Sensors, buttons, and other such things all use jump wires to communicate with the microcontroller.
Famous quotes containing the words jump and/or wire:
“If you like to make things out of wood, or sew, or dance, or style peoples hair, or dream up stories and act them out, or play the trumpet, or jump rope, or whatever you really love to do, and you love that in front of your children, thats going to be a far more important gift than anything you could ever give them wrapped up in a box with ribbons.”
—Fred M. Rogers (20th century)
“Constantly risking absurdity
and death
whenever he performs
above the heads
of his audience
the poet like an acrobat
climbs on rime
to a high wire of his own making.”
—Lawrence Ferlinghetti (b. 1919)
