Re-enactments
Lt-Colonel John Lilburne has a regiment in his honour in The Sealed Knot (reenactment) society. Although he never had his own regiment, Lilburne's is a thriving regiment that boasts one of the best event turnouts in the whole society. Lilburne's is based mainly in Yorkshire and Lancashire, England. Many of the regimental members are located in places like Leeds, Huddersfiled, Preston and Lancaster.
The Regiment consists of a Pike Block, Musket Block and Artillery as well as Civilians and puts on numerous public displays each year both as a Regiment and as part of the wider Society.
The Regiments colour scheme is: Purple coats with grey breeches for the earlier battles (representing Captain Lilburne's company in Lord Brooke's Regiment) and Red coats with Sea Green Facings with grey breeches for mid/late civil war(New Model Army) re-enactments.
Lilburne's Regiment also use Facsimile copies of original medals, struck in honour of his acquittal for treason, as awards for long service and outstnding contribution to the Regiment.
