Early Life

At 14-years old, he began correspondence with the label's co-founder Nesuhi Ertegun. "I'd send letters telling Nesuhi that I thought Ray Charles should do a duet. What talent they were missing out on, all sorts of critiques and suggestions," remembered Dorn.

Famous quotes containing the words early and/or life:

    Some would find fault with the morning red, if they ever got up early enough.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

    They sought it with thimbles, they sought it with care;
    They pursued it with forks and hope;
    They threatened its life with a railway-share
    They charmed it with smiles and soap.
    Lewis Carroll [Charles Lutwidge Dodgson] (1832–1898)
