Criticism
Critics such as research scientist James Pontolillo are skeptical of Wallach's claims and research. Pontolillo's article attempts to debunk many claims made by Wallach, such as Wallach's claim calcium deficiency causes Bell's Palsy - traditionally known to be a form of cranial nerve paralysis. It also highlights other claims not supported by any clinical research, and highlights the potential harm from vitamin poisoning.
Wallach claims there are cultures in the world who have lifespans between 120 and 140 years, whose longevity is due to water containing colloidial minerals. However, no such culture is known to exist. He also erroneously claims the average lifespan of an American doctors is 58 years, when in actuality it is close to 70.8 years citation needed.
Critics claim that a comprehensive explanation of why one colloidal mineral, silver, is nutritionally useless and may in fact cause harm, is given by a recent article from Cecil Adams of Straight Dope.

Famous quotes containing the word criticism:
“To be just, that is to say, to justify its existence, criticism should be partial, passionate and political, that is to say, written from an exclusive point of view, but a point of view that opens up the widest horizons.”
—Charles Baudelaire (18211867)
“A bad short story or novel or poem leaves one comparatively calm because it does not exist, unless it gets a fake prestige through being mistaken for good work. It is essentially negative, it is something that has not come through. But over bad criticism one has a sense of real calamity.”
—Rebecca West (18921983)
“It is the will of God that we must have critics, and missionaries, and Congressmen, and humorists, and we must bear the burden. Meantime, I seem to have been drifting into criticism myself. But that is nothing. At the worst, criticism is nothing more than a crime, and I am not unused to that.”
—Mark Twain [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] (18351910)
