Speed Limit and Scenery
There is a pretty uniform speed limit of 110 km/h, albeit national legislation raising it to 120 km/h (which is the speed limit it was actually designed for.)
The expressway cuts through a vast area of emptiness. The scenery heading south is that of plains and farmland. Remarkable also are the design of the toll gates, ranging from the fancy to the downright weird.

Famous quotes containing the words speed, limit and/or scenery:
“No speed of wind or water rushing by
But you have speed far greater.”
—Robert Frost (18741963)
“Washington has seldom seen so numerous, so industrious or so insidious a lobby. There is every evidence that money without limit is being spent to sustain this lobby.... I know that in this I am speaking for the members of the two houses, who would rejoice as much as I would to be released from this unbearable situation.”
—Woodrow Wilson (18561924)
“I like sometimes to take rank hold on life and spend my day more as the animals do. Perhaps I have owed to this employment and to hunting, when quite young, my closest acquaintance with Nature. They early introduce us to and detain us in scenery with which otherwise, at that age, we should have little acquaintance.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
