General Sir James Kempt, GCB (Edinburgh, Scotland c. 1765 – 20 December 1854 London) was a British Army officer, who served in Holland, Egypt, Italy, the Peninsula, and British North America during the Napoleonic Wars. He famously led a British brigade at the Battle of Waterloo and later became Governor General of Canada.
