Admission
Admission to Jacobs University is highly selective and based on a candidate's school and/or university achievements, personal references, self-presentation, and performance on required standardized tests. Students admitted to Jacobs University demonstrate exceptional scholastic achievement (in terms of scope as well as grades achieved), intellectual creativity, and the desire and motivation to make a difference in both the worlds of academia and beyond. Our goal is to admit students who will be successful in our demanding academic environment and who will make a contribution to our vibrant international community. Our selection process is very tough and aims at getting to know the person as well as the potential student. The admissions committee uses this information to the determine scholarships. More information on the Admission Process can be found here.

Famous quotes containing the word admission:
“A completely indifferent attitude toward clothes in women seems to me to be an admission of inferiority, of perverseness, or of a lack of realization of her place in the world as a woman. Orwhat is even more hopeless and patheticits an admission that she has given up, that she is beaten, and refuses longer to stand up to the world.”
—Hortense Odlum (1892?)
“The admission of the States of Wyoming and Idaho to the Union are events full of interest and congratulation, not only to the people of those States now happily endowed with a full participation in our privileges and responsibilities, but to all our people. Another belt of States stretches from the Atlantic to the Pacific.”
—Benjamin Harrison (18331901)
“Prayer is not asking. It is a longing of the soul. It is daily admission of ones weakness ... It is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without a heart.”
—Mohandas K. Gandhi (18691948)
