Ivalice

Ivalice (イヴァリース, Ivarīsu?) is a fictional location in the universe of Final Fantasy XII, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Vagrant Story. The world was conceived by Yasumi Matsuno when he joined Square Co. (now Square Enix Co., Ltd.) in 1995, and has since been expanded upon by several games, with more yet due with the Ivalice Alliance series. Ivalice is described as a complex world with a very long history, and the stories of Vagrant Story, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Final Fantasy XII are said to unfold quite close on the Ivalice map.
