Isosbestic Point

In spectroscopy, an isosbestic point is a specific wavelength at which two chemical species have the same molar absorptivity (ε) or, more generally, are linearly related. The word derives from two Greek words: "isos", meaning "equal", and "sbestos", meaning "extinguishable".
