Student Body
The university has about 12,000 regular students. There are six halls for students, including four halls of 1,507 seats for male and two hostels of 1000 seats for female students. A new female hostel named Sheikh Hasina hall is constructing. This capacity is not enough and students usually live in two adjacent cities, Kushtia and Jheniadah. The university has approximately 42 buses (both owned and hired) to bring those students to the campus.

Famous quotes containing the words student and/or body:
“To be born in a new country one has to die in the motherland.”
—Irina Mogilevskaya, Russian student. Immigrating to the U.S., student paper in an English as a Second Language class, Hunter College, 1995.
“For women ... bras, panties, bathing suits, and other stereotypical gear are visual reminders of a commercial, idealized feminine image that our real and diverse female bodies cant possibly fit. Without these visual references, each individual womans body demands to be accepted on its own terms. We stop being comparatives. We begin to be unique.”
—Gloria Steinem (b. 1934)
