Irma Serrano - Early Life

Early Life

Irma was born Irma Cielo Consuelo Serrano Castro Domínguez to an affluent rancher and a woman of a tough attitude, in Comitán, Chiapas, Mexico. According to her own autobiography she was kidnapped (actually ran away) at the age of 13 or 14. A politician whisked her away from her small hometown in southern Chiapas where she was born and raised.
