Famous quotes containing the word size:
“Eat your meals according to the size of your bowl.”
—Chinese proverb.
“Delusions that shrink to the size of a womans glove,
Then sicken inclusively outwards:
. . . the incessant recital
Intoned by reality, larded with technical terms,
Each one double-yolked with meaning and meanings rebuttal:
For the skirl of that bulletin unpicks the world like a knot....”
—Philip Larkin (19221986)
“Beauty depends on size as well as symmetry. No very small animal can be beautiful, for looking at it takes so small a portion of time that the impression of it will be confused. Nor can any very large one, for a whole view of it cannot be had at once, and so there will be no unity and completeness.”
—Aristotle (384 B.C.322 B.C.)
