Contributing Nations
All NATO members have contributed troops to the ISAF, as well as some other partner states of the NATO. The numbers are based in part from the NATO when more recent numbers are available they are given. As of July 2011, the number of troops are being decreased slowly due to security handover to Afghan government forces.

Famous quotes containing the words contributing and/or nations:
“But then in what way are things called good? They do not seem to be like the things that only chance to have the same name. Are goods one then by being derived from one good or by all contributing to one good, or are they rather one by analogy? Certainly as sight is in the body, so is reason in the soul, and so on in other cases.”
—Aristotle (384322 B.C.)
“For nations vague as weed,
For nomads among stones,
Small-statured cross-faced tribes
And cobble-close families
In mill-towns on dark mornings
Life is slow dying.”
—Philip Larkin (19221986)
