John Kiriakou
A former CIA officer, John Kiriakou, has also been charged under the Intelligence Identities Protection Act. On Tuesday, October 23, 2012 Kiriakou plead guilty to violating the Intelligence Identities Protection Act.
As part of his plea deal Kiriakou will be sentenced to two and a half years in prison and his charges filed under the Espionage Act will be dropped. This is the first convection under the Intelligence Identities Protection Act in 27 years.
