Independent Labour (Isle of Man)

The Independent Labour is a political party in the Isle of Man.

At the 2001 election for the House of Keys, Independent Labour polled 1.0% and won no seats. It was linked to the UK's Independent Labour Network, founded in 1998 by Ken Coates and Hugh Kerr.

They are no longer active however, having died out in 2002 in the Isle of Man.

Famous quotes containing the words independent and/or labour:

    Milton’s the prince of poets—so we say;
    A little heavy, but no less divine:
    An independent being in his day—
    George Gordon Noel Byron (1788–1824)

    You must labour to acquire that great and uncommon talent of hating with good breeding, and loving with prudence; to make no quarrel irreconcilable by silly and unnecessary indications of anger; and no friendship dangerous, in care it breaks, by a wanton, indiscreet, and unreserved confidence.
    Philip Dormer Stanhope, 4th Earl Chesterfield (1694–1773)
