Incubus (1966 Film) - Home Video Release

Home Video Release

When producer Anthony Taylor attempted to prepare Incubus for home video release in 1993, he was told by the company that stored the negative, film elements, and prints, that all were missing and presumed to have been destroyed in a fire. Three years later, a print was discovered at the Cinematheque Francaise in Paris. However, not only was that print in poor condition, it had French subtitles. A new master was created by frame-by-frame optical printing, and English subtitles were superimposed over the French ones.

Famous quotes containing the words home, video and/or release:

A home without a cat—and a wellfed, wellpetted and properly revered cat—may be a home, perhaps, but how can it prove title?
Mark Twain [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] (1835–1910)

It is among the ranks of school-age children, those six- to twelve-year-olds who once avidly filled their free moments with childhood play, that the greatest change is evident. In the place of traditional, sometimes ancient childhood games that were still popular a generation ago, in the place of fantasy and make- believe play . . . today’s children have substituted television viewing and, most recently, video games.
    Marie Winn (20th century)

The steel decks rock with the lightning shock, and shake with the
    great recoil,
And the sea grows red with the blood of the dead and reaches for his spoil—
But not till the foe has gone below or turns his prow and runs,
Shall the voice of peace bring sweet release to the men behind the
    guns!
    John Jerome Rooney (1866–1934)
