As of the fall of 2011, the division of gender was 56.1% female to 43.9% male, and 93% of all undergraduates were between the ages of 17 and 24. 61.1% of undergraduate students are from the Chicago area while 20.4% are from McLean and the surrounding counties. There are 1,393 out-of-state students that come from 49 other states, U.S. territories, and U.S. foreign countries. 14.7% of all students are from minority groups. The University has 390 international students from 59 different countries. 3,321 new beginning students have an average ACT score of 23.9. The 1,826 new undergraduate transfer students entered the University with an average transfer GPA of 3.11. 16,501 students received $217,306,011 in financial support in fiscal year 2011.
