AMC Hornet
In 1970, American Motors Corporation (AMC) revived the "Hornet" model name for its new series of compact cars (the AMC Hornet). AMC was later purchased by Chrysler Corporation, which at one time considered reintroducing the Hornet name in the Dodge model line (See: Dodge Hornet).
