Famous quotes containing the words hit and/or pitch:
“There are horrible people who, instead of solving a problem, tangle it up and make it harder to solve for anyone who wants to deal with it. Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.”
—Friedrich Nietzsche (18441900)
“Though I have locked my gate on them
I pity all the young,
I know what devils trade they learn
From those they live among,
Their drink, their pitch and toss by day,
Their robbery by night....”
—William Butler Yeats (18651939)
