Hidden Treasures (EP)
Hidden Treasures is an EP by American heavy metal band Megadeth, released in 1995. It is a collection of previously released non-album tracks, including soundtrack and compilation songs. The American version of the album is currently out of print, but the Japanese version is still available as of 2006. It was originally released in Europe as a special bonus CD for Youthanasia, before being released in Japan and the US as a separate EP later that year. A remastered version was released in Europe on April 30, 2007. The remastered album almost matches the Japanese release (with the bonus tracks moved to the end of the disc). The one difference is that the demo version of "New World Order" is replaced by the final version. Whilst this appears to be a mistake, it was probably intentional, as the demo version of "New World Order" already appeared on the remastered Youthanasia album.
The album cover features a map of north-central Arizona. Many of the cities on the map are the names of the songs that appear on the album.
The remastered version of Hidden Treasures was not officially released in America due to the inclusion of most of the songs on Warchest.
"Diadems", according to Megadeth's website, was inspired by the 1990 film Ghost.
