Duff has said she is a Christian. "I am a Christian, but I also don't really see myself as a religious person. I see myself as more of a spiritual person. There are things that I do agree with in Christianity and things that I don't agree with. I'm not a regular churchgoer, but I do think that I have my own beliefs that I feel strongly about." Haylie started her own blog called "Real Girl's Kitchen". Duff split with boyfriend of three years Nick Zano in October 2011.

Famous quotes containing the words public, image, personal and/or life:
“The danger of crippling thought, the danger of obstructing the formation of the public mind by specially suppressing ... representations is far greater than any real danger that there is from such representations.”
—George Bernard Shaw (18561950)
“I have often thought that if photography were difficult in the true sense of the termmeaning that the creation of a simple photograph would entail as much time and effort as the production of a good watercolor or etchingthere would be a vast improvement in total output. The sheer ease with which we can produce a superficial image often leads to creative disaster.”
—Ansel Adams (19021984)
“The personal touch between the people and the man to whom they temporarily delegated power of course conduces to a better understanding between them. Moreover, I ought not to omit to mention as a useful result of my journeying that I am to visit a great many expositions and fairs, and that the curiosity to see the President will certainly increase the box receipts and tend to rescue many commendable enterprises from financial disaster.”
—William Howard Taft (18571930)
“Parenting is the one area of my life where I can feel incompetent, out of control and like a total failure all of the time.”
—Attorney Father. As quoted in Reviving Ophelia, by Mary Pipher, ch. 4 (1994)
