Hanyang University

Hanyang University is a private research-intensive university in South Korea. The main campus is in Seoul, and the second one, ERICA campus (Education Research Industry Cluster at Ansan), is located in the city of Ansan. Hanyang University began as the nation's first private College of Engineering, producing numerous specialists who have worked as the backbone of the nation's industrialization and modernization. Hanyang University established the first engineering school with school of architecture and civil engineering in South Korea. It is considered one of the most prestigious engineering universities in South Korea. It ranked 1st in Korea in Technology Transfer Performance Research('09). Hanyang University has the 1st AACSB Accreditation in South Korea. Hangyang College of Medicine: “Superior” rating for quality in the 2nd Korean Medical School survey. It ranked 3rd best private University in Korea by the England’s “The Times World University Review.”('09) and ranked 3rd among Korean universities by the Ecole des Mines de Paris in the number of alumni CEOs in the world’s top 500 companies(89th in the world, '09). Hanyang University enrolls over 1,500 foreign students from 42 countries every year, and more than 1,700 HYU students study abroad annually. Hanyang University has 339 sister institutions in 42 countries such as MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), University of Cambridge, and Tsinghua University.
