Hackensack High School serves students from the Bergen County, New Jersey communities of Hackensack, South Hackensack, Maywood, and Rochelle Park.
As of the 2010-11 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,773 students and 108.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 16.42:1. There were 594 students (33.5% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 140 (7.9% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.
