Haakon VI of Norway (Norwegian: Håkon 6 Magnusson; Swedish: Håkan Magnusson) was a monarch of the House of Bjelbo, a royal Swedish dynasty which originated in East Gothland. He was King of Norway from 1343 until his death in 1380; he was also King of Sweden between 1362 and 1364, co-ruling with his father Magnus IV (Magnus VII of Norway), until they were both deposed there by Haakon's cousin Albert of Mecklenburg and a clique of exiled Swedish noblemen led by Bo Jonsson Grip.
