Sponsorship
Gulf Air sponsors events, of which the most prestigious is the Bahrain Grand Prix. This is usually the first or fourth race of the Formula One season and is held in March or April of each year. Gulf Air were also the first ever shirt sponsors of Chelsea F.C. in 1983 and 1984. More recently, they were shirt sponsors of Queens Park Rangers F.C.; this was from 2008 to 2011.
