Groton Long Point Volunteer Fire Department

The Point is Protected by the Groton Long Point Volunteer Fire Department, year round. Established in 1951, its purpose: "the preservation of lives and property, the extinguishment of fires, the provision of emergency medical services and social assembly". The Fire Department host events year around, from the 4th of July parade to a Halloween party.
