Time Zone

Those countries marked in dark blue on the map above use Western European Summer Time and advance their clock one hour in summer. Famous quotes containing the words time and/or zone:

It’s true, as Marya Mannes says: “No one believes [a woman’s] time to be sacred. A man at his desk in a room with a closed door is a man at work. A woman at a desk in any room is available.”
    Lillian Breslow Rubin (20th century)

The human race is a zone of living things that should be defined by tracing its confines.
    Italo Calvino (1923–1985)
