The Kinks Greatest Hits! was the first compilation album released in the US by British rock group The Kinks in 1966. The album consists of some of the most popular singles and songs released by the Kinks since 1964. It is the only Kinks album to reach the US top 10 peaking at #9. The 1965 single "See My Friends" was not included on the album as, despite reaching #10 on the UK charts, it only made #111 in the US.
Famous quotes containing the word greatest:
“I am heartily tired of this life of bondage, responsibility, and toil. I wish it was at an end.... We are both physically very healthy.... Our tempers are cheerful. We are social and popular. But it is one of our greatest comforts that the pledge not to take a second term relieves us from considering it. That was a lucky thing. It is a reformor rather a precedent for a reform, which will be valuable.”
