Grantchester

Grantchester is a village on the River Cam or Granta in Cambridgeshire, England, close to Cambridge. It is listed in the Domesday Book (1086) as Grantesete and Grauntsethe. Grantchester is mentioned briefly in book IV, chapter 19 of Bede's Ecclesiastical History of the English People.
