- On 19 June 2003 former cast member Laura Sadler who played student Judi Jeffreys for two years from 1997 to 1999 fell to her death at her home in London, her character was killed after slipping and falling out of a burning building, tragically paralleling her real life death four years later. An episode was later dedicated in her memory. She was 22 years old.
