World Cup Record
Germany is one of the most successful nations at the FIFA Women's World Cup, having won the tournament twice and finishing runner-up once. The German team won the World Cup in 2003 and 2007. At the first World Cup in 1991, they finished in fourth place. In 1995, Germany reached the World Cup final, but were defeated by Norway. The team's worst results were quarter-final losses to the United States in 1999, and Japan in 2011. Overall, the German team has appeared in three Women's World Cup finals, and is a four-time semi-finalist. They have participated in every Women's World Cup and have a 20–3–5 win–draw–loss record.
