The Georgia Bulldogs are the athletic teams of the University of Georgia. The Bulldogs compete in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I and are members of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The official mascot is Uga.
Bulldog legends John Russell, Dan Magill, Wally Butts, Howell Hollis, Forrest "Spec" Towns, Herman Stegeman, Herschel Walker, Erskine "Erk" Russell and Fran Tarkenton, Vince Dooley, along with current coaches Mark Richt, Andy Landers, Jay Clark, Manuel Diaz, Jeff Wallace, Jack Bauerle, are all considered to be among the best in their respective sport.
