George Zorbas
Giorgis Zorbas (c. 1867–1942) (Greek: Γιώργης Ζορμπάς) was a miner from West Macedonia, Greece, upon whom Nikos Kazantzakis based his fictional Alexis Zorbas, the protagonist of his novel Zorba the Greek (1946).
