Legacy and Honors

  • Stratton-Porter's two residences, "Limberlost", a large cabin near Geneva and Limberlost Swamp, and the "Cabin in Wildflower Woods" near Rome City, Indiana, were each designated Indiana State Historic Sites. They are operated by the Indiana State Museum as house museums.
  • A gradeschool in Hammond, Indiana was named in her honor. The building is now part of the Purdue University Calumet campus.
  • A rest stop along the Indiana Toll Road (U.S. Interstate 90) was named after her.
