Gaupne

Gaupne is a village which is the administrative center of the municipality of Luster in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. The 1.56-square-kilometre (390-acre) village has a population (2009) of 1,075. The village is located along the Gaupnefjord, an arm of the Lustrafjord, about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) north of the village of Hafslo. The village of Veitastrond is located across the mountains 20 kilometres (12 mi) to the northwest. The road Sognefjellsvegen passes through here on its way to Skjolden and beyond.
