FBI Investigation Into Land Sales

In 2007, Miller was reported to be under investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation for failing to pay capital gains taxes after he claimed he was forced to sell his land to two cities under eminent domain, allegations both cities have denied. Famous quotes containing the words fbi, land and/or sales:

Has anyone ever told you that you overplay your various roles rather severely, Mr. Kaplan? First you’re the outraged Madison Avenue man who claims he’s been mistaken for someone else. Then you play the fugitive from justice, supposedly trying to clear his name of a crime he knows he didn’t commit. And now you play the peevish lover stung by jealously and betrayal. It seems to me you fellows could stand a little less training from the FBI and a little more from the Actors Studio.
    Ernest Lehman (b.1920)

When you have come into the land that the LORD your God is giving you, and have taken possession of it and settled in it, and you say, “I will set a king over me, like all the nations that are around me,” you may indeed set over you a king whom the LORD your God will choose. One of your own community you may set as king over you; you are not permitted to put a foreigner over you, who is not of your own community.
    Bible: Hebrew, Deuteronomy 17:14,15.

There are no galley-slaves in the royal vessel of divine love—every man works his oar voluntarily!
    —St. Francis De Sales (1567–1622)
