Kidnappings

Starting from 2000, members of the group took some of foreign citizens hostage in Cabinda. In March 2001, FLEC-Renovada kidnapped 5 Portuguese employees of a construction company which were then released 3 months later. In May 2000, FLEC-FAC kidnapped 3 foreign and one local employee of a Portuguese contractor which were released in 2 months.
