In 2009 the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced that Friends Provident will be the title sponsor for the new Twenty20 competition, the Friends Provident T20.
In 2007 Friends Provident signed a three year deal to sponsor the domestic one-day cricket competition, The Friends Provident Trophy.
Friends Provident sponsored Southampton F.C. and help finance the building of St Mary's Stadium, until 2006.
