Filming Location
As a filming location, Freshwater West featured extensively in the 2010 film Robin Hood starring Russell Crowe and in two Harry Potter films; Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Part 2. For the second Harry Potter film, a full sized house, Shell Cottage, was constructed on the sand dunes. It was removed after filming.
It was also used as a filming location in series four of BBC production, The Sarah Jane Adventures.
