Famous quotes containing the words days of, days and/or year:
“Ill sing you a new ballad, and Ill warrant it first-rate,
Of the days of that old gentleman who had that old estate;
When they spent the public money at a bountiful old rate
On evry mistress, pimp, and scamp, at evry noble gate,
In the fine old English Tory times;”
—Charles Dickens (18121890)
“And what other great nation has statutes and ordinances as just as this entire law that I am setting before you today? But take care and watch yourselves closely, so as neither to forget the things that your eyes have seen nor to let them slip from your mind all the days of your life; make them known to your children and your childrens children...”
—Bible: Hebrew, Deuteronomy 4:8,9.
“But she is early up and out,
To trim the year or strip its bones;”
—Edna St. Vincent Millay (18921950)
