Frances Bean Cobain - Personal Life

Personal Life

Cobain has given six official interviews. In September 2005, a thirteen-year-old Cobain gave her first interview to Teen Vogue where she discussed her personal style and mentioned her parents. Another appeared in the January 2006 issue of i-D, where she expressed negativity over tabloid portrayals of her mother and was quoted as saying, "When you see a lot of lies about her in the tabloids, it can be hurtful." She also gave an interview in 2010 about her art as "Fiddle Tim".

In September 2008, Cobain hosted a suicide-themed party at the House of Blues in Los Angeles to celebrate an "RIP Childhood" 16th birthday. The event was funded by Love, and included a performance from Mindless Self Indulgence.

She began dating musician Isaiah Silva (born 1985) in 2010. In October 2011, it was announced that Cobain and Silva were engaged.

Famous quotes containing the words personal and/or life:

The lover never sees personal resemblances in his mistress to her kindred or to others. His friends find in her a likeness to her mother, or her sisters, or to persons not of her blood. The lover sees no resemblance except to summer evenings and diamond mornings, to rainbows and the song of birds.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

For all the boredom the straight life brings, it’s not too bad.
Gus Van Sant, U.S. screenwriter and director, and Dan Yost. Bob Hughes (Matt Dillon)
