Fort Knox High School
Fort Knox is one of only three Army posts (the others being Fort Campbell, Kentucky and Fort Sam Houston, Texas) that still have a high school located on-post. Fort Knox High School, serving grades 9–12, was built in 1958 and has undergone only a handful of renovations since then; but a new building was completed in 2008.

Famous quotes containing the words fort, knox, high and/or school:
“Tis said of love that it sometimes goes, sometimes flies; runs with one, walks gravely with another; turns a third into ice, and sets a fourth in a flame: it wounds one, another it kills: like lightning it begins and ends in the same moment: it makes that fort yield at night which it besieged but in the morning; for there is no force able to resist it.”
—Miguel De Cervantes (15471616)
“Death is an incident producing clay. Use it, mold it, learn from it.”
—John Gilling, British screenwriter. Dr. Knox (Peter Cushing)
“Like all high functionaries, he deemed it indispensable religiously to sustain his dignity; one of the most troublesome things in the world, and one calling for the greatest self-denial.”
—Herman Melville (18191891)
“The child to be concerned about is the one who is actively unhappy, [in school].... In the long run, a childs emotional development has a far greater impact on his life than his school performance or the curriculums richness, so it is wise to do everything possible to change a situation in which a child is suffering excessively.”
—Dorothy H. Cohen (20th century)
