Foreign relations of the Republic of Macedonia are the efforts made by the Macedonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs abroad in the interests of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia. The Ministry remains dedicated to increased Macedonian inclusion in international organizations, increased recognition by other nations, and assisting in global counter-terrorism operations, in addition to whatever diplomatic needs may arise. Famous quotes containing the words foreign, relations and/or republic:

Friends, both the imaginary ones you build for yourself out of phrases taken from a living writer, or real ones from college, and relatives, despite all the waste of ceremony and fakery and the fact that out of an hour of conversation you may have only five minutes in which the old entente reappears, are the only real means for foreign ideas to enter your brain.
    Nicholson Baker (b. 1957)

It is commonplace that a problem stated is well on its way to solution, for statement of the nature of a problem signifies that the underlying quality is being transformed into determinate distinctions of terms and relations or has become an object of articulate thought.
    John Dewey (1859–1952)

The United States is a republic, and a republic is a state in which the people are the boss. That means us. And if the big shots in Washington don’t do like we vote, we don’t vote for them, by golly, no more.
    Willis Goldbeck (1900–1979)
