Foramen

In anatomy, a foramen (/fəˈreɪmən/; pl. foramina, /fəˈræmənə/) is any opening. Foramina inside the body of humans and other animals typically allow muscles, nerves, arteries, veins, or other structures to connect one part of the body with another.
