Orthodox Jewish Opposition

Rabbi Moses Feinstein called the Israel flag "a foolish and meaningless object" and discouraged it being displayed in synagogues. Famous quotes containing the words orthodox, jewish and/or opposition:

    If the jests that you crack have an orthodox smack,
    You may get a bland smile from these sages;
    But should it, by chance, be imported from France,
    Half-a-crown is stopped out of your wages!
    Sir William Schwenck Gilbert (1836–1911)

    I herewith commission you to carry out all preparations with regard to ... a total solution of the Jewish question in those territories of Europe which are under German influence.... I furthermore charge you to submit to me as soon as possible a draft showing the ... measures already taken for the execution of the intended final solution of the Jewish question.
    Hermann Goering (1893–1946)

    Michael Lewis (late 20th century)
