Governor's Standard
There is also a standard for use by the Governor of Aruba in his capacity as representative of the Queen of the Netherlands. It consists of a white field, with the flag of the Netherlands stripped across both the top and the bottom, and a circular version of the flag of Aruba in the centre.

Famous quotes containing the words governor and/or standard:
“President Lowell of Harvard appealed to students to prepare themselves for such services as the Governor may call upon them to render. Dean Greenough organized an emergency committee, and Coach Fisher was reported by the press as having declared, To hell with football if men are needed.”
—For the State of Massachusetts, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)
“Error is a supposition that pleasure and pain, that intelligence, substance, life, are existent in matter. Error is neither Mind nor one of Minds faculties. Error is the contradiction of Truth. Error is a belief without understanding. Error is unreal because untrue. It is that which seemeth to be and is not. If error were true, its truth would be error, and we should have a self-evident absurditynamely, erroneous truth. Thus we should continue to lose the standard of Truth.”
—Mary Baker Eddy (18211910)
