Renewals
- Ten kilometres of new Chinese manufactured Fell rail was expected to be delivered to the Snaefell Mountain Railway in December 2006 for track-laying between the 2006 and 2007 seasons (Railway Magazine, February 2007).
- The Rimutaka Incline Railway Heritage Trust is working on restoring the Rimutaka Incline (New Zealand). As of 2012, it is still securing permits, while work on building a station and rolling stock shed, and restoration of rolling stock is under way.
